What do you think should be studied as the county
examines the environmental impacts of land use over the next 20 years?
- Climate Change
- Extreme/year round fire season
- GHG emissions/inventory
- impacts from ongoing/proposed expansion of fossil fuel extraction - air quality, risking water resources, contributing to global warming, public health/environmental justice
The county is updating the document that governs all land use for the next 20 years. That process requires an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), and the "scoping" phase is when the public gets to weigh in on what should be part of the EIR.
